CONCERT BAND
Our members are quite diverse, from professional players to accomplished amateurs. We typically rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. (unless it is a performance week). Rehearsals are held in the Julia D. Good Rehearsal Hall, 1924 Melody Lane, Melbourne, FL 32902. The rehearsal hall is directly behind the Melbourne Municipal Auditorium. Enter from Fee Avenue, next to the library.
If you are interested in playing with the Concert Band, please email info@melbournemunicipalband.org. You will be contacted by the section leader who will give you further instructions. We expect our players to have a minimum skill level. The section leader will determine if your skills are adequate to play with the band as you play in your first rehearsal.
3-2-1 JAZZ ORCHESTRA
Are you a talented musician looking to join one of the top big bands in the area? The 3-2-1 Jazz Orchestra is always on the lookout for accomplished players who can add to our swinging sounds. Our 17 piece ensemble, featuring two vocalists, performs a diverse range of jazz from the last 100 years. We rehearse every Monday night from 7 PM to 9 PM at 1924 Melody Lane in Melbourne and play around six concerts per year.
While we have a dedicated group of musicians, we're always open to welcoming exceptional talent. If you're a skilled, friendly, and committed player who can attend all rehearsals and concerts—and you don't mind working for the love of music—consider auditioning for us. Contact our director, Kurt Schulenburg, to arrange your audition and become part of our vibrant jazz community. kurt@321Jazz.com

VOLUNTEERS
If you would like to be a part of Melbourne Municipal Band's remarkable music scene, but playing an instrument is not your thing, join the team that works with the band and behind the scenes to provide a totally exciting experience for our audience.
The auxilliary are the ambassadors for the band: they meet & greet, run raffles, decorate, sell tickets, and organize exhibits and socials. They support all Melbourne Municipal Band and Swingtime events, and they need your help! Contact the Auxiliary President at auxiliary@melbournemunicipalband.org.
Another way to contribute behind the scenes is to join the library team. They handle hundreds of pieces of music each year. Keeping the folders up to date is a monumental task. Contact admin@melbournemunicipalband.org if you would like to help.
