STACI ROSBURY
Staci Rosbury is enjoying her fifteenth season as Conductor of the Melbourne Municipal Band. She started out in the band as a flute player, board member and Associate Conductor. Rosbury graduated from the University of Florida with her bachelor’s in music education and with her Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting. After serving as the Director of Admissions and Undergraduate Advising for the School of Music at UF, she taught band and general music in the Florida Public Schools and became increasingly involved in the community music and theater scene in Central Florida. Rosbury served as music director for shows at the Henegar Center and has played flute with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, Central Florida Winds & Chamber Winds, Space Coast Flute Orchestra, and the MMB. She is currently the Administrator for the Indian River Symphonic Association which hosts a concert series of national and international orchestras each year in Vero Beach. She is also a new member on the board of the Association of Concert Bands, a national organization whose mission is to foster excellence in Concert Band music through performance, education, and advocacy.
ART MARTIN
A performer, educator, adjudicator, and clinician, Art Martin taught in New Jersey public schools for over 40 years and spent six years as Adjunct Instructor of Music at Montclair State University. Art has a B.A. in Music Education from Trenton State College, an M.A. in Administration from Jersey City State College with additional studies at Richmond Professional Institute (now VCU) and the Juilliard School of Music. Art has been a member of the Melbourne Swingtime big band, Melbourne Municipal Band, The Oh Golly Dixieland Band, played in the Pit Orchestras for the Cocoa Village Playhouse and The Henegar Center, playing various woodwind instruments. Art has also performed with the Space Coast Pops and Central Florida Winds. Art retired as Conductor of Swingtime in July of 2021 and as Executive Administrator for the Melbourne Municipal Band in March of 2024. He currently
is the band leader for Rock & Roll Revue, Swingtime Lite and the Oh Golly Dixieland Band.
KURT SCHULENBURG
Kurt Schulenburg conducts, writes, and arranges for the 3-2-1 Jazz Orchestra (formerly Swingtime) and the New Horizons Band of Melbourne. A graduate of the Lawrence Conservatory of Music with a degree in Music Education, Kurt has been a professional musician since the early 1970s, excelling on saxophone, trumpet, and piano.
For 20 years, he was the associate conductor, trumpet player, and saxophone soloist with the Crystal Lake Community Band, performing at numerous European Music Festivals. Additionally, Kurt showcased his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist with the Sinful Saints Dixieland Band for over a decade.
